- bc was 8/15 in the 1st half on 3′s, despite only averaging 5.5 per game and only shooting 33%.
- Dudley had 30 points and 11 rebounds and just plain dominated.
- Deron Washington had 15 2nd half points (18 for the game) and played with great energy. Had a poster dunk over 6’11″ Blair.
- Hokies gave up 14 offensive rebounds.
- VT is just 9 for 30 on three’s in their last 3 games (2/7 today). We had been shooting 40% on 3′s before the ga tech game.
- bc had 12 3′s in the game, more than double their average.Â
- bc was 8/9 from the free throw line.
- The eagles had 20 assists to just 9 for VT (7 in the 2nd half for VT as they moved the ball much better).
- Rice had 20 so he and Dudley combined for 50. Marshall added 10 but was just 2/9 on 3′s (the rest of the team was 10/20 on 3′s).
- Gordon had 8 points, 10 boards, and 5 assists but was just 4/12 from the field.

Attended every home basketball game during his 4 years at VT after missing the first home game. Has attended 122 straight VT football home games (every game since '94), eclipsing the 100 mark in September of '09.
During the final home basketball game of his senior year, he was brought onto the court and was awarded 2 passes to the Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament in Philly during a timeout. The Hokie Bird made the award on behalf of Athletic Director Jim Weaver.
Niemo was known to be in the front row of every home game with his familiar red afro hairdo.
Niemo currently lives in DC and speaks the Hokie gospel as often as possible. He watches over 50% of all ACC games, making him one of the most knowledgeable experts on ACC basketball.
