I was very impressed with their bball IQ and they werent really trashy NJ-like after beating us at the game or at the bar scene. I think Duke is the only team they get radical couch-burner like for. I was at a bar before the game, and I grabbed a broom and I started waiving it at the MD fans. When I realized that the MD fans had no idea what I was doing, Hokie Respect took a turn for the worst. Do you think they would have gotten it after the game? That was a pretty tame atmosphere. I don't think any of the MD fans thought they could lose. Most of the fans I talked to didn't even believe that we beat them the first time, and one of their players said as much in the post game interview. They all started pouring out with 45 seconds left.
