Gary is a Virginia Tech graduate (class of 1997) and veteran sports journalist with a career spanning on-air work in television and radio, and as a writer, editor and columnist for a pair of newspapers. He covered the Hokies for WSLS and WVIR from 1998 to 2002 and before that, covered the Hokies while a student at Tech from 1993-1997. Since leaving sports journalism, he continues to cover the Hokies through his Hokie fan site VTHokieFans.com and now as part of the TechHoops.com team.
