3,000 tickets for NIT game donated for Tech students
    March 17, 2008

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department and the Hokies men’s basketball team has announced that 3,000 student tickets for the Virginia Tech-Morgan State NIT game on Wednesday, March 19, have been purchased by donors and head coach Seth Greenberg and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

“This is an opportunity to show my appreciation for the energy and enthusiasm that our fans bring to Cassell Coliseum each game,” Greenberg said. “I want to thank the student body for their support and the difference they make.”

Students can pick-up a complimentary ticket at the basketball ticket office located in Cassell Coliseum between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 18. Students picking up their ticket must have a valid Virginia Tech I.D. card. A limit of one ticket per student.

didn’t find out about coach greenberg giving out student tickets till I had already bought mine. Things like this are why I hope he’s at Virginia Tech for the rest of his career.
