I dissagree…VT football is going to be great. Tyrod needs a year on the sidelines. Plus he needs to get stronger so he doesn’t break himself.

@John Thanks for the comment. I would say that the PR Tournament and wisconsin are our most important non-conference games. Last year, if we had pulled the upset over butler or gonzaga in the Alaska Shootout that could have been the difference between NCAA and NIT.

If we are on the bubble towards the end of the season, then this schedule is great for us because we will have the opportunity to show the committee what we are made of by playing duke and unc late in the season.

I like this schedule more than last year’s and the year before. My only complaint is the Holiday festival. I know Coach Greenberg has roots up there, but it would have been nice to take a year off from MSG and those teams are not very impressive.

Puerto Rico will be a great test. Im glad that we get 2 tune up games before the trip.

My goal for this season is not to lose crappy non conference games.

Hey guys, I’m a big fan of this site. I agree with you as well on the thought. My question is how would you rate this schedule? I know last year we didn’t have any key wins, especially out of conference. So if we lose to Wisconsin this year, would the committee have a strong case again? I’m not sure how Georgia will be, as well as some of the mid-majors such as Richmond. We already knew what the ACC games would look like ahead of time. Any thoughts on interesting games/matchups for the other part of the schedule?

Niemo, Wick, you guys know I was the first one on your site last year to predict a postseaon appearance, specifically, the NIT… I predict 5th place finish for our Hokie Men’s Basketball team and a bid in the NCAA tournament… I would have said 4th, but I think Clemson has too much experience at the guard slot. Here are my top five teams: 1.) UNC, 2.) Duke, 3.) Wake Forest, 4.) Clemson, 5.) Virginia Tech.
