The announced attendance yesterday was 9,693, which is a little less than 200 short of a sellout of 9,847. Best I can tell, this was the first regular season game not to be a “sellout” since VT joined the ACC for the 2004-05 season. If I’m accurate, it snapped a streak of 75 straight regular season sellouts. As we all know, there are lots of no-shows for each game, but the official attendance is based on seats sold, not who shows up. The ticket office was still offering season tickets as of last week. We shall see if they offer the leftovers as individual game tickets now.
Note: I say “regular season” because none of Virginia Tech’s five home NIT games over the last two years were sellouts.

And you know what? Students are complaining about not getting tickets… Jim Weaver needs to release these tickets to the student lottery… I’m not happy with him right now.
Are you ever happy with him?
LOL… yes… he got the basketball practice facility done… I do have to give him credit for that.
