Here is the highlight video for the 2010-11 season.  What a wild ride it was. Note: Updated to add the omissions from the first cut.

Niemo is a member of the VT Class of '98. Attended every home basketball game during his 4 years at VT after missing the first home game. Has attended 122 straight VT football home games (every game since '94), eclipsing the 100 mark in September of '09. During the final home basketball game of his senior year, he was brought onto the court and was awarded 2 passes to the Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament in Philly during a timeout. The Hokie Bird made the award on behalf of Athletic Director Jim Weaver. Niemo was known to be in the front row of every home game with his familiar red afro hairdo. Niemo currently lives in DC and speaks the Hokie gospel as often as possible. He watches over 50% of all ACC games, making him one of the most knowledgeable experts on ACC basketball.

I’ve fixed the Season in Review video and added the omissions from the first cut.

It’s Erik Green’s team next season…time for him to step up.

  • Chris Skipper

Hey Niemo what is the song right after all the above

    • Niemo

Chris – Juelz Santana – The Second Coming – it was featured in the Nike Air Force commercials a few years ago.

Great video (and nice soundtrack)! The Duke game (and win) was pretty much our NCAA tourney.

    I’m ready for next season!!

Thanks Niemo. plus Zo needs to contribute but i think it is pretty clear that Erick Green is the leader on the team and he has the best leadership qualities,

Good stuff Niemo… great way to close out the season for VT. I can’t wait for November!

Great video. I really appreciate what you guys do here. As much as I love tech football and the Redskins, I think I have become a bigger fan of tech basketball over the course of this season than any other sports club out there. Thanks a lot Niemo. Also, I was wondering if you know of a way to download this video to my computer (when I right click the only option is to copy the link). I want to keep this one in case the video gets taken offline at some point..

Martin – Not sure how you can download it. I’m sure YouTube keeps that stuff on lockdown (where it is housed). And it probably will get banned at some point. And it will eventually get ruined in iMovies on my Mac, too, because I’ll have to delete the video clips I used which messes up the movie (the video clips hose up iMovie after you import so many — it is a very delicate balance I’ve figured out over the years and then have to flush your queue).

I’ll let you know if I figure something else out, though, and thanks for the kind words. I love Hokies football and Braves baseball, but Hokies bball really is awesome and has always been my passion since I first got to VT.
