Here’s a look back at the career of redshirt-senior, Dorenzo Hudson. Hudson moved into 32nd Place on the VT career scoring list on Thursday night. He has 1,170 points heading into his final game at the Cassell on Sunday.
Zo Clutch was money at the end of games, hitting 3 game winners in his career, plus the clincher at uva this year.
Did you know Hudson was originally #2 his freshman year? He switched to #5 after Marcus Travis moved on.
Dorenzo has been a part of 79 Virginia Tech wins over the last 5 years (he missed the first 8 games of 2007-08, 1 games in 2009-10, and only played in 9 games last year). VT is 79-54 in games he’s played in.
I’ll post Victor Davila’s video early next week — I’m hoping to get video from Senior Day on both guys.
Niemo is a member of the VT Class of '98.
Attended every home basketball game during his 4 years at VT after missing the first home game. Has attended 122 straight VT football home games (every game since '94), eclipsing the 100 mark in September of '09.
During the final home basketball game of his senior year, he was brought onto the court and was awarded 2 passes to the Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament in Philly during a timeout. The Hokie Bird made the award on behalf of Athletic Director Jim Weaver.
Niemo was known to be in the front row of every home game with his familiar red afro hairdo.
Niemo currently lives in DC and speaks the Hokie gospel as often as possible. He watches over 50% of all ACC games, making him one of the most knowledgeable experts on ACC basketball.
i wonder, does he have prospects to play professionaly anywhere?
Niemo
He’ll definitely be playing pro somewhere next year, yes.

Awesome! I’m pretty sure Zo has been featured on Sportscenter Top 10 plays at least a couple times in addition to the dunk vs. Wake and the game-winner this year… I remember watching those guys play pick-up at McComas one time and Jeff Allen started talking smack after dunking on Zo and Zo retorted “Please, how many times YOU been on Top 10?!” Terrell Bell then cracks “Yea well Jeff been on the wrong end of Top 10 a few times haaa!”
On that note, Cheers to Zo for being one of the league’s top trash talkers for 5 years! I remember a poll a few years ago that asked ACC players who the biggest trash talker in the league was… I believe Delaney got 30% of the vote and Zo got 20%. I wish I could find the link.

Great work Niemo. I always wish I could save the compilation videos you make. I think the one at the end of the season last year was my favorite so far. This one is great too though.
Thanks ZO, it was a pleasure watching you play.

I think he’s more of an Assistant Manager than a Boss. Zo…you wanna be a boss? Lead your team to win an ACC tourney.
I always got the impression Zo had too much caffeine in his system…his shots were always long, his dunks always hard off the back of the iron…
For an older guy i always thought he should have dominated more physically, and post up the smaller guys better, but he drifted too much.
It’s a shame he didn’t get to have a healthy follow-up to his 3rd Team All-ACC performance….injuries still seemed to plague him some this year too.
Kind of a fitting ending to that recruiting class….maybe JT can redeem them all next year…here’s hoping he does.
