C.J. Barksdale suspended for first three games

And we’re off to an inspiring start to the 2013-14 college basketball seasons! Junior forward and presumed starter C.J. Barksdale has been suspended by head coach James Johnson for three games. The reason? You guessed it: unspecified violation of team rules.

Barksdale will sit Saturday’s season- and home-opener vs. usc upstate, the Tuesday, Nov. 12, home game vs. wvu, and the Friday, Nov. 15, homer vs. western carolina. Barksdale should return for the Nov. 18 game vs. vmi.
