T.J. Lang Reportedly Signs Release from VT

I’m always wary of posting stories related to articles done on April Fool’s Day, but this one at least appears genuine (much more so than the Jay Wright to bc thing).  According to this free article, Class of 2014 signee T.J. Lang has signed his release, terminating his binding Letter of Intent with Virginia Tech.  He is now free to sign with any school.  The article has some more specifics on it and does mention he may still consider VT if Buzz pursues him more aggressively.

And if this is an April Fool’s Day prank, it is not mine, I can promise you that.

During the final home basketball game of his senior year, he was brought onto the court and was awarded 2 passes to the Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament in Philly during a timeout for being a "Super Fan" during his time at VT. The Hokie Bird made the award on behalf of Athletic Director Jim Weaver. Niemo was known to be in the front row of every home game with his familiar red afro hairdo.

I’m wondering if this is the prelude to a Malek Harris signing. Harris and Lang play the same position. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

  2. Blue Collar Hokie says:

surprising since he seemed excited when buzz was hired.

  3. Chris_atl says:

Apparently, the recruits are not as excited about our new coach as we are.

How do you figure? I haven’t heard anything negative out of Bibbs or Hudson’s camps. There don’t seem to be any whispers about either guy decommitting. If this is in reference to TJ Lang, I would say it’s the other way around. I think our new coach wasn’t very excited about him and didn’t pursue him.
