Marshall Wood to Play for richmond

Wood is a spider according to this ARTICLE.

Marshall will have to sit out this season, then have two years of eligibility left after that.

These two schools do have some history of “trading” players.  Tony Dobbins played a season at Tech back in 99-00 before heading to the Queen City to play three seasons for richmond.  He is still playing professionally abroad (this was a devastating loss to the Hokies — but who can blame him, he’d have played for ricky stokes if he’d stayed).

And A.D. Vassallo was initially inked to richmond, but if memory serves me correctly, he could not be admitted and ended up signing with VT and still sits 6th on the Tech All Time Scoring list with 1,822 points.

In addition to his passion for Hokie hoops, Niemo has attended 126 straight VT football home games (every game since '94), eclipsing the 100 mark in September of '09 and recently attended his 20th consecutive VT/uva game. During the final home basketball game of his senior year, he was brought onto the court and was awarded 2 passes to the Atlantic 10 Basketball Tournament in Philly during a timeout for being a "Super Fan" during his time at VT. The Hokie Bird made the award on behalf of Athletic Director Jim Weaver. Niemo was known to be in the front row of every home game with his familiar red afro hairdo.

The Queen City is Charlotte. Richmond is the Hipster City where PBR is cheaper and more abundant than water.
