  • Named to the Capital Classic – April 9th, Washington, DC – Scored 9 points in the game
  • Named 2009 Central District Player of the Year
  • Petersburg High School was home to one of the most famous centers of all time, Moses Malone.  His son briefly played WR for the Hokie football team.
  • Is a real terror in the paint.  Goes at the glass hard and plays with a high motor.
  • Petersburg HS was rated #1 in the state of VA by the Times Dispatch as of 2/23/09 but lost in the state semi-finals, finishing the season with just one loss.

2008-09 Stats (let’s see how long I can go before running out of synonyms for ’scored’):

  • 12/01/08 – Scored 12 points in an 83-60 win over Manchester
  • 12/12 – Tallied 22 points in an 81-55 woodshed of Hopewell
  • 12/19 – Poured in 15 points as part of a 78-55 win against Matoaca
  • 12/20 – Blocked 4 shots as Petersburg beat BTDub (that’s Booker T. Washington if you aren’t from the streets) 62-49
  • 12/26 – Chipped in 14 points in a 83-50 drubbing of Varina
  • 12/27 – Petersburg won 67-46 over Prince George.  Cadarian had around 16 points but can’t get an official box score.
  • 12/29 – Petersburg won the Fort Lee Tournament and Raines was named Tournament MVP. Beat Hopewell 61-36.  CR had double digit points.
  • 1/3/09 – Oh, the humanity!  Beat Armstrong (or Arm-weak) 88-46.  CR had double digit points.
  • 1/7 – Another beat down. This time over Dinwiddie 83-45.  CR had double digit points.
