Vassallo (Jr), Deron Washington (Sr), Darrion Pellum (Fr), or Terrell Bell (Fr) – Since these are two of our best and most experienced players, expect both to be on the court most of the time. This is the Hokies ONLY deep position. One of the two will likely always be on the court. A.D. could play SG some, but he’s such a good rebounder he’ll likely always be guarding a forward on D. And Deron can play some PF/4, but as we’ve seen over three years, he can be bullied by bigger players inside on D. PF is NOT a good fit for him, and with the loss of forwards, VT might be faced with playing him out of position again. As for Bell, I haven’t seen him play but hear he is like a Deron-light, very athletic guy. [...]
